About the Effort

Why we are doing this

We started DraftPrado because we think that a lot of voices are likely to be ignored during the coming Supreme Court debate. In an era of intense partisanship, we believe the time is right to come together around a highly qualified consensus nominee.

Edward Prado is a Republican, but he is a Republican with a moderate record who will give a fair hearing to all sides of a dispute. We sincerely believe he would make an exceptional Supreme Court Justice.

The fourteen Senators who came together to avert the nuclear option are an example of how deliberation and moderation can win the day. Let’s follow that example, and urge President Bush to save the ideologues for other positions – the next Supreme Court nomination should not be a partisan battleground.

We believe that our positive campaign to support Judge Prado for the Supreme Court can highlight the importance of experience and moderation for any future Supreme Court appointment.

DraftPrado.org is an independent grassroots campaign sponsored by StartChange. This effort has no affiliation to Judge Edward Prado or anyone who works for him.
